Victoria Secret arrives in China
Iconic American lingerie brand Victoria’s Secret is making its first foray into the booming market of mainland China, with the opening of Victoria Secret Beauty and Accessories stores, (VSBA stores) which as well as a focus on lingerie will stock a range of beauty products, fragrances and accessories. The opening will test the market for a more extensive rollout of Victoria's Secret core lingerie products, as China expanding middle class continues to embrace the global lingerie industry with foreign brands including Italy’s La Perla and France’s Etam gaining traction in the market.

Former Disney teen star, singer, and songwriter Demi Lovato has accused Lady Gaga of “glamorizing eating disorders” after Lady Gaga’s performance at the SXSW concert in Austin, Texas. During a collaboration with London performance artist Millie Brown, a bottle of vibrant green and inky black milk was drunk and regurgitated onto the singer. Demi Lovato a former sufferer of bulimia lambasted the performance on twitter, deriding it as a dangerous endorsement of eating disorders and rejecting the artists defense that art should not be subject to censure. The act has created a storm on twitter ranging from outright abuse to playful banter directed at the provocative artist Millie Brown and superstar Lady Gaga.

Yves Saint Laurent opens
The eagerly awaited biopic about legendary French fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent has been released in the UK. Simply titled Yves Saint Laurent, the french production directed by Jalil Lespert and starring fresh-faced comedic actor Pierre Niney as the young Yves Saint Laurent, focuses not on his groundbreaking design work, but on his turbulent personal life and his dynamic presence on the Parisian party scene of the 1960s and 1970s.
