Mary Katrantzou and The Most Expensive Street in Europe

Mary Katrantzou x Adidas
London based designer Mary Katrantzou, a rising star in British womenswear design famed for her innovative and technical use of prints, is to collaborate with sportswear giant Adidas for an ongoing capsule collection of apparel and footwear. Mary Katrantzou work is characterised by technicolour hues and use of architectural shapes alongside a dynamic sense of femininity. She follows in the footsteps of Adidas’ highly successful collaborations with singer Pharrell Williams, Topshop, Raf Simons and Stella McCartney. Dirk Schoenberger, global creative director of Adidas's sport style division praised the designer’s unique vision and added he was very excited to bring her aesthetic to the Adidas Originals women's collection

Glittering Bond Street
London's Bond Street has maintained its preeminent position as the most expensive street in Europe in terms of retail space. The street, only 500 feet long - favored by jewellers and a host of luxury fashion brands - has seen its rental prices ascend to £838 per square foot annually, eclipsing the rent paid at the two next most expensive locations; the Bahnhofstrasse in Zurich and the Champs Elysées in Paris.

Tomas Maier Expands
Bottega Veneta’s creative director Tomas Maier eponymous line is currently undergoing an exciting brand development with the designer overseeing the creation of its first flagship store opening this fall on New York’s Madison Avenue, while expanding the collection. The line targeted at a lower price point than Bottega Veneta, has seen an injection of capital from French conglomerate Kering which has allowed the label to embark on a radical expansion that will see the brand now encompass a full collection of ready-to-wear, shoes, jewelry and bags for both men and women.
