Fashion One’s exclusive report on the fashion of the MET Gala. The annual fundraising gala for the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute is one of the most glamorous evenings of fashion in New York City, and arguably the world. This year, the MET Gala paid tribute to legendary 20th-century British-American couturier Charles James.

Stars dressed in their most resplendent and fashionable ensembles to suit the theme of the evening. Among the plethora of celebs in attendance were Johnny Depp, Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Lupita Nyong'o, Charlize Theron, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Alba, Mila Kunis, David and Victoria Beckham, Rihanna and American Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour. Elsewhere in N.Y.C., British actress Emma Watson of Harry Potter fame participated for her third consecutive year in the 17th Annual ELF Revlon Runwalk for Women.

In L.A., Steven Spielberg’s USC Shoah Foundation held its Annual Gala. Formed by the director in 1994 to further the remembrance of the Holocaust during the Second World War, it was a star-studded affair and featured a performance from Bruce Springsteen. During the ceremony, U.S. president Barack Obama was honored with the Ambassador of Humanity Award. Veteran actress Sally Field spoke to Fashion One about the longevity of her 50-year career in Hollywood and her recent honor, earning a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Blake Lively was on hand to lend her star power to Gucci Perfume’s Chime for Change campaign. Chime for Change seeks to raise funds and promote education, health and justice for girls and women throughout the globe.
